Must be pursuing an eligible high-demand major in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or health care.

Elks Vocational Grant
Available to any graduating senior planning to pursue a vocational/technical course at a community college or technical school in the fall.

Washington State School Retirees' Association Scholarship
Available to students with a 3.0 GPA or higher and plan to have a career in the field of education. Majors could include teacher, counselor, speech therapist, occupational therapist or psychologist.

Blue Mountain Community Foundation Scholarships
BMCF has a wide array of scholarships that are either based upon Financial Need or factors such as academic achievement, specific career or field of study. New scholarship this year for Dayton High School students is the Broughton scholarship for students pursuing a fine or performing arts degree in college!!!

Ewing C Kelly Scholarship
Available to students that have been accepted or have an application on file at an accredited institution of higher learning, public or private and including community colleges and have a composite score of 20 on the ACT or a composite score of 1030 on the recently revised SAT.

Ward & Vera Hoskins Memorial Scholarship
Available to graduating seniors and alumni planning to attend (or already attending) an approved college, university or trade school.

Elks Dave Nicholas Memorial Scholarship
Available to graduating seniors who have a GPA of 2.2 to 3.2 and plan to attend a two year or four year college/university or technical school in the fall.

The McGregor Company Scholarship
Available to students that meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • you must be a graduating high school senior in 2018 (public, private, or home-school)
  • planning to enroll at a college, university, or technical school within the United States as a full-time student
  • reside within a reasonable distance of the customers we serve from McGregor branches in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon
  • will be declaring a major or enrolling in a program that is an agriculture-related field of study

John Hinchliff/Pheasants Forever Scholarship
Available to students planning to pursue a career in a field related to natural resource management (e.g. wildlife management, forestry) or agriculture.

Homestead Scholarship
Available to students planning to attend a two or four year college in the fall of 2018 in the State of Washington, be planning to pursue a course of study in health services, education or agriculture and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or be showing academic improvement.

The Vernon Marll Charitable Trust Scholarship Award
Available to a graduating senior or DHS alumni planning to attend a two year or four year college or trade school. A grade point average of at least a 2.0 is required.

Archer Ranch Scholarship
Available to graduating seniors and alumni that have the honest desire to further one's education at any institution of higher learning. Individuals having a desire to come back to Columbia county after completion of their education will be giving high consideration..

ACPE Scholarship
This year the Association of Computer Professionals in Education (ACPE) has allocated up to $10,000 for scholarships of up to $2,000 each for students in Oregon and Washington. These scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors who have been actively involved in the use of technology during their high school careers and are planning to pursue studies in a technology related field.
